ESPERANZA NYC

I had a brief talk with Ana Keren from Esperanza NYC.  We spoke about her accessories line, music and her native country Guatemala.  Her hand made goods are produced there by skillful apprentices who are paid a fair wage and are proud to represent Esperanza NYC.  Ana is dedicated to expanding but most of all she wants to remain native, "As much as I appreciate the response to my designs, New York City has been good to me, I am a product of Guatemala and will continue to support my country any way that I can."  She, like many new designers, have taken the direct sales approach during this current downturn.  Her line is available here
